Bioshock 2: Eleanor's Story

Part 2
While calmly driving the boat back to shore, Jack began to feel the cold of Iceland. Rapture was built quite far from Iceland's capital, Reykjavik. Jack opened a compartment on the boat and shuffled through the contents. It was filled with winter gear, such as jackets, boots, goggles, just about everything you needed to survive in the winter. Jack mumbled in annoyance as there was enough winter clothes for everyone except him. Soon, he could see a bathysphere station in the distance, cleverly disguised as another lighthouse, just like the one he crashed into almost 8 years ago. He docked the boat at the lighthouse and went to the cabin doors to wake them up.

Meanwhile, Eleanor stared nervously at the red vial of her father's ADAM and her father's body. She took a breath and gulped down the ADAM. She then had a splitting headache, as if she was going back into the state of a Little Sister, her vision changing from "Little Sister vision" to the normal vision. Finally, the pain stopped. She felt a gloved hand touch her shoulder, and she almost jumped out of her skin. She could see Delta now. Except, he looked like a decoy plasmid, only the outlines visible and manifesting himself as air. His body just lay dead in the corner. At first, Delta tried speaking to her, but his voice sounded like a whale's call. He tried again, his voice slowly turning normal.

"Eleanor?" Delta said in confusion.

"Yes, it's me, father."

"I'm….. I'm sorry I couldn't make it. I feel so guilty for letting you down. But I'm glad you managed to escape with some good people." Delta said in guilt.

"You have nothing to be sorry for, father. It wasn't your fault. Mother broke our bond, and tried to blow us up! It's a miracle that you survived long enough to reach the surface."

"Well, guess I'll be with you for a long time to come, eh? I'll always be here when you need me, kid. If you ever need any help, I'll be here."

Before Eleanor could reply, Delta's ghostlike body simply disappeared. Eleanor sighed In relief that he was with her. Just then, the cabin doors were opened. Jack came in, holding all the winter clothes, and saw Eleanor, almost in tears.

"Hey, you alright? I got winter gear for everyone." Said Jack as he gave Eleanor her set of clothes.

"But what about you?" Eleanor said.

"I'll be fine. Incinerate will keep me warm. Besides, we're going into a bathysphere."

Jack then went to the room where the Little Sisters and Tenenbaum slept. He turned on the lights and they all woke up. He gave them all their winter gear and gave them 10 minutes to get ready. Everyone got dressed while Jack went back up.

Soon, they were all ready. They stepped off the boat and onto the patch of frozen land that the lighthouse was located on. Jack lit his whole body on fire momentarily, warming him up so that the cold wouldn't affect him. They all walked to the lighthouse. Jack opened the lighthouse doors carefully, pistol at the ready and incinerate on his other hand. The place was pitch black, then the lights flickered on. Jack led the others to the bathysphere. Somehow, they all managed to fit into one. Eleanor pulled the lever and off they went. The bathysphere rocketed through the glass tubes, to Reykjavik.  Eleanor couldn't help but smile at the Little Sisters, who remained happy throughout this whole time. She looked at her mother, who looked weak and frail, presumably from almost drowning.

"Eleanor, I'm sorry for killing father. He… He was a good man. I'm really sorry. I didn't know what the hell I was thinking, trying to turn you into a "utopian". Said Sofia weakly.

"It's okay, mom. I forgive you. Father does too."

They all fell asleep soon enough. Before they knew it, the sphere had arrived. Jack opened the bathysphere door, and for the first time in many years, Eleanor saw and felt the Sun.
And here it is! Eleanor and the others arrive at dry land, but its freezing! After all,Reykjavik IS the nearest land from Rapture. Stay tuned, this isnt over yet!

You know reading this FF of yours, I wish Delta was still alive.

Well like you wrote he's in Eleanor's head now I would like to have Jack meet Delta, it would have be interresting to see how he could get along with one after all the Big Daddys he killed.
